Chick Lit May: Chick lit rocks!

Update, 21 May: The winner of one pound of gourmet caramels,
kindly donated by Whitney’s Goodies, is Bobbi Kinion. Congratulations Bobbi!
<applause applause applause> 🙂

The #ChickLitMay celebrations continue! Today authors all over the world are sharing the songs that inspired their stories.

For All Over the Place, my number one song has to be Don’t Look Back Into the Sun, by The Libertines. It has the perfect vibe: edgy and melodic, jangly guitar, free and easy, and totally London-y. You might notice shades of a young Pete Doherty in the rock star Livi meets on her adventures. And of course she’s determined not to look back to that sunny place she left behind…

Apart from anything else, this song is just fantastically catchy—one of my all-time favourites. Enjoy! 🙂

All Over the Place is available at

You can see the whole playlist for All Over the Place on its book page.
